Ten months and counting

I cannot believe that it has already been 10 months since i came to Taiping. It just felt like it was yesterday when i walk through the front doors of the hospital, waited for Si Wei to go to the office and then headed off to the Farmasi department see my new boss. My first boss professionally besides Yvonne who bossed me around at home. First thing that came to my mind was, when can I take off and the excuses which i can come out with to get me 2 days off so i can go back to KL. Had a tour of the hospital from Uncle Lingam and got introduced to everybody as the new PRP's (Provisionally Registered Pharmacist) or in other words, fresh meat. Everything felt so new, and I was wondering, how can I go through with this, away from home, 3 hours away from home no less (driving that time was around 120 km/h...currently graduated to a higher speed...:D).

There were so many things to get ready for in Taiping, i had to find a room, buy furniture and get to know the place so it will be convenient for me to run errands (to find the petrol station so i can get fuel to drive back to KL). It was quite a breeze looking for a room especially one with an attach bathroom!!! Imagine the shock when i found out that most of the houses in Taiping don't have attach bathrooms. Luckily, i manage to find one and first time in my life, i got myself housemates!! Rainie and Hooi Fen!!..hehehe....i can still remember all the gossips we share. One thing unfortunate about the house is there is no TV, thank goodness for online streaming.

Work started and everything felt so new and raw, I started at the outpatient department, screen prescriptions and packing medications, imagine all the errors i did, hopefully nothing serious. My first lunch was with suki, ming jian and wai wai..we went to prima for lunch and i ordered chicken rice i think if my memories serve me well. Fast forward and now here i am writing this blog entry after 10 months.

Another 2 more months, i hope my new journey begins somewhere near home, so i can go home and watch TV!! I wonder how much am i going to miss Taiping and all my friends whom i have met here, Min Min, Chia May, Fiona and Serena.....

to be continue (it's getting late)
